A check-and-catch-up vaccine for travellers who aren't fully protected against measles, mumps and rubella — measles outbreaks remain common in many travel destinations.
The relevant exposure routes and level of risk depend on the disease, destination and activities planned. Your pharmacist will explain the risks that apply to your itinerary during consultation.

Individual assessment
Who may consider MMR vaccination
- Adults or children who haven't had two documented doses of MMR
- Travellers to areas with ongoing measles outbreaks
- Anyone unsure of their childhood vaccination history
Suitability is assessed during consultation. Tell the pharmacist about allergies, pregnancy, health conditions, medicines and previous vaccinations.

How it is given
Given as one or two injections depending on prior vaccination history.
Course timing
Second dose (if needed) usually given at least 4 weeks after the first.
Common side effects
- Soreness at the injection site
- Mild rash or temperature in the following 1–2 weeks
